  2. No tutorials for a while. Visiting my mom. Happy Holidays to all.

  3. Tough finding time to make tutorials lately. Hosting a friend's piano student recital this Sunday. For years, her students have been winning top awards in local competitions. Went to get them treats. Bought lots of cookies. Yum...

  4. I'm only doing these blogs because I'm supposed to keep them active. Are they of any use? :)

Well, I'm working on the Bach Two Part Invention No. 1 right now, requested from Great Britain.

  5. Posted my first Kenny G tutorial yesterday, a request from France. Today's planned tutorial was also requested from France. It is Vangelis' Memories of Green. The piece is like abstract art... but my metronome guided tutorial will make it sound robotic!

  6. Held two student piano-recitals at our house today. No, not my students, my friend Ruo's. Awe inspiring 5th to 11th graders. Filmed part of it. Perhaps I'll upload a clip for you to see. Already 8p, so the next tutorial: "The Blower's Daughter", will have to wait till tomorrow.

  7. Working on The Blower's Daughter now. It was requested 4 months ago. A surprisingly nice song. Now I'm curious to see the movie. I've watched quite a few movies after I did a soundtrack song tutorial -- Up, Somewhere in Time, Pride and Prejudice, Old Boy, the list goes on... So, thanks!

  8. Today's tutorial: Through the eyes of love by Marvin Hamlisch, requested from the Philippines

  9. Took me an hour to vacuum and clean the interior of just one (compact) car. Salty windows, beach sand on and under carpets, on and in the joints of seats, plus sunblock smeared finger prints on the vinyl.

No fun! Much rather be making tutorials!

  10. Printed and played what was to be the next tutorial. Six pages worth. It was the worst thing I ever heard. If I posted it I would disallow comments. Well, decided to delete what I played. Tomorrow is another day...

  11. Visitors next 10 days. Late night rushed tutorial. Uploading La Tendresse, made popular by Clayderman.

  12. Saving a Chopin Mazurka right now. Opus 68, number 2.

  13. next in line: Beethoven's Sonata #10, 3rd mvt

  14. Viewer asked "where's the verse?" on my tutorial for Someone to Watch Over Me. That was recorded 2 yrs ago soon after I began this project. So I decided to redo the entire tutorial, adding the verse. That's should be today's upload.

  16. visitors departed. back to normal? not quite. all of a sudden, copyright notices keep popping up. about 2 every hour. spending lots of time disputing. most are from publishers. what's wrong with this world? my tutorials increase their sales and I'm not asking a penny from them, or anyone! maybe i should just do math...

    1. I think you meant "poor", not "pure". :)
But I received your longer message, and your English was absolutely fine. I disputed 4 new copyright warnings as soon as I woke up tday. With over 1,500 tutorials, this might never end. That would be one way to sabotage my project.

  18. Can you believe this? They own copyright to a SCALE tutorial?

Thanks for submitting your video "G Major E Minor Scales and Arpeggios" for monetization. We have disabled monetization on this video because we were not able to verify that you have the appropriate commercial use rights for all included content.

  19. taking requests again. please make sure you follow instructions. Send sheets before posting request. If the score is arranged by a youtuber, seek permission from him/her first.

  20. Well, five new Copyright Notices today. But viewers are still asking me for sheetmusic! ;)

  21. 9 new copyright notices first thing in the morning. this continues throughout the day.

  22. Found out why all these copyright notices are coming.

Some companies are fraudulently claiming ownership to our videos. During the period while we dispute the charge, they put ads on our videos. So instead of us making money on ad clicks, they do. Blatant stealing. YouTube gets their same share as long as ads are clicked on, but they are aware of the protests.

Companies that have made repeated claims on my videos (including public domain music by Bach, Debussy, Schubert, and Mozart) include these of ill repute: The Orchard Music, AdRev, and GoDigital MG, Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society.

    Class action suit time?

  23. Good news for me at least, fraudulent claims have fallen dramatically. In fact, no new citations for 4 days. Perhaps YT caught the crooks :)
